I kinda skipped last week, but not really on purpose. I was gonna bore you all with my expansive knowledge of Pembroke Welsh Corgis and Cardigan Welsh Corgis. But we will save that for another time!
What I’d like to talk about, is the continuation of my exaltation of spring. I’ve always loved spring; the flowers in bloom, the grass is green again, and you don’t have to wear jackets or socks or shoes or sweaters or pants! Meaning you can replace those previously mentioned clothing articles with other ones. Please don’t go around without pants. Please.
But when I think about it, previous springs have just been short-lived happiness for me. I’ve had a lot of emotional issues in the past (which I hate to admit), and it has really crippled me. I don’t even know where these traumas came from; I think I just got bad luck in this case.
NO MORE, I say! No more feeling bad! No more seeing the glass half empty and wondering what I did to deserve this. I am embracing the full spirit of spring and renewing myself. I’ve decided that I am going to start being more positive and instead of allowing my bad feelings to swallow me whole.
It may sound silly or random, but I’m proud of my decision. It’s been a tough twenty-four hours, but I’m gonna do it. I’m on the way to being a bright ray of sunshine for myself and for others! (More than I already am.)
This past Wednesday was the first anniversary of this darling little blog here. I can’t believe it… A whole year! And through that time, it’s been tumultuous.
I’m proud of myself, I really am. I mean, no, I haven’t posted every week, but I’ve tried my best. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to do it at first; if I’d post interesting enough things to gather readers or if I’d keep it up.
Obviously, these past few months have said “I’m trying my best to post, but there’s just a bunch of crap going on” which have made me wonder again, but I’m trying. And I’ve clearly posted interested stuff to gather interested readers, so I’ve done more than I thought!
Seriously though, I’ve got to be honest. Knowing there are people out there that read my blog is still a little “whoa, wait, what?” but I’m glad you have. And even it’s been a glance or if you’ve stayed for the long run, thanks! I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart and I’m so glad I’ve gotten to spread my randomness around to y’all.
To another year for Spirals and Straight Lines, and may it be as quirky as I like to think it is! And here’s hoping I manage to keep you guys around for another year and maybe gather some more
for my cult. 😉
April showers bring May flowers!
It’s already the fourth month of 2013. I considered participating in April Fool’s day, but I decided not to. It was going to be something like “I’m shutting down my blog, my twitter, getting rid of my phone, and moving into the woods to become one with nature” type of thing.
But seriously, can you believe it’s April?! I’m excited! It’s that time of year when you get ready to say “April 21st, because it’s not too hot but not too cold.”
Really, I love springtime.
Even though I prefer staying locked inside my room and away from the sunlight, I love flowers. I love the weather, most of the time. Some days can be a little too warm, and since I live in a high desert, there’s a chance of snow until about June. I’m looking forward to sunshine, though, so let’s hope the snow is gone for the next six to seven months.
